The IPCC Data Distribution Centre Global and Hemispheric Mean Time-series

The following series of graphs show the global/hemispheric-mean temperature and precipitation response for each of the DDC model experiments. All curves are shown as anomalies from the 1961-90 average (deg Celsius or per cent change) and all annual anomalies are smoothed with a 10-year low-pass filter. Each DDC model is shown by a different colour and where a model has been run in ensemble mode several same-colour curves are shown. In each plot, the equivalent observed series are shown in black. The following graphs are available, one set of graphs for the GGa (greenhouse gas only) forced experiments and one set of graphs for the GSa (greenhouse gas and sulphate aerosol). All these experiments use the equivalent IS92a forcing scenarios:

• Global-mean temperature
• Northern hemisphere-mean temperature
• Southern hemisphere-mean temperature
• Inter-hemispheric temperature contrast
• Global-mean precipitation
• Terrestrial-mean precipitation (minus Antarctica)
